Riddles: Height of mirror (Answer)

The mirror should be half your height. The top of the mirror should hang half the distance between you eyes and the top of your head. Finally, it does not matter what distance you stand from the mirror.

PROOF:

In mirrors the light exits at the same angle as it enters. Therefore, the man must look “halfway down” to see his feet and “halfway up” to see the top of his head (see illustrations below). This applies no matter what distance he is from the mirror.
